ABOUT

About the project

Syngenta is committed to supporting education with the aim of inspiring young people's interest in chemistry and, ultimately, encourage them to pursue science as a career path.

This Periodic Table of Elements, aimed at KS3, GCSE and A-Level students and their teachers has been closely mapped to the science curricula and is a new addition to the many successful programmes offered by the Syngenta Learning Zone. It is a free, online interactive resource designed to teach a fundamentally important science and chemistry topic in an engaging, thought-provoking and memorable way.

Chemistry is all around us – it's part of everything we do, eat, wear and use – this resource brings the 'everyday' aspects of chemistry to life!

  • "It's great to see the Periodic Table presented in such an engaging way that cleverly combines visual creativity with solid educational content. I can't wait to use it with my students and know it will be a useful and welcomed teaching aid to support science teachers in the classroom." – Dr. Mavji Patel, Teacher of Science, Canons High School, Edgware

An understanding of chemistry and the way it can used to increase crop yield is the basis of food security. Without crop protection products 40% of the world's food would be lost to pests, diseases and weeds. This periodic table should encourage young people to appreciate the role chemistry plays in their life and be entertaining at the same time.
